Dr. Michael Viksman is a Johns Hopkins trained and board certified physician specializing in treating patients who suffer from allergies, asthma, sinus problems, skin problems and immunologic disorders. Trained and experienced in treating both adult and pediatric patients, Dr. Viksman has been taking care of people of all ages for over 25 years.

Recognized for his expertise and innovation in the fields of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, Dr. Viksman received the national Fisons award from The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the Clemens von Pirquet award from The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Viksman maintains his Johns Hopkins Medical School faculty position and has a solid medical scientist background with a Ph.D. in Immunology and publications in peer review journals. He provides the latest research-based treatment strategies including Biologics. During scheduled appointments each patient receives careful examination, appropriate testing, and leaves the office with an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Viksman believes that the patient evaluation by an allergist is similar to the work of a good detective. He spends time with patients listening to their detailed histories and symptoms, also asking specific questions to paint a complete clinical picture of patients’ allergy related medical problems. This comprehensive approach has shown to be most effective for arriving at the right diagnosis. His practice is also designed to respond to urgent needs that arise after hours. Dr. Viksman and his staff communicate with primary care physicians, other medical specialists and school nurses to provide coordinated care.
